@EugenesMom Providing proper soil moisture (or lack of moisture) is important in caring for a Yucca Cane. The most common cause of yellowing leaves among Yucca Canes is overwatering–they don't need much water to survive. Only water when 75-100% dry.

Yucca leaves turn yellow as a sign of stress due to over watering and too much moisture around the roots of your yucca. Yuccas are drought resistant and require well draining soil to avoid the their leaves turning yellow. Yellow leaves can also indicate your yucca requires more direct sun.

Just don’t put it in direct sunlight otherwise it will burn the leaves. I would move it a bit closer to light.
@KikiGoldblatt I moved him up on a chair by the window, I've been careful to only water when he is completely dry so hopefully that fixes the problem, thank you for the help!!
@KikiGoldblatt is right, but also remember that the lower leaves are the older leaves; they will be the first to go.

When the plant loses lower, spent leaves, that's how it gets its height.
