New cactus parent advice 😆
Hello all! I just got a Simpson Hedgehog Cactus for my birthday, and I have a vague notion of what to do, but I'd love some tips or suggestions. It's still in the soil and little plastic pot it came in. It is getting roughly 6-7 hours of sunlight right on the windowsill, almost touching its prickly face against the glass. Any recommendations on what size/ kind of pot to get for it? Or any easy draining soil with ph between 6-7.5 recommendations? And especially if I should use any fertilizer (this app recommends it)? And how often should I be watering? App recommends once every 12 days, making sure the soil is already dry. Thank you for any tips and I'm so excited to have a plant to take care of it's unreal 😆🥳
