When do I know when it needs to be watered? I also really...

#AloeVera
1ft to light, direct
2” pot with drainage
Last watered 3 years ago
I think it might be Alworthia πŸ€”

Either way, water only after the soil has fully dried out!
Also, if that's a cute little cover pot, make sure water doesn't pool up in the bottom and rot the roots.

Don't let water sit inside the leaves, either. It could cause crown rot.
@sarahsalith it actually has some drainage! I’m changing the pot to a slightly bigger one once I get better soil
Is it some kind of Haworthia?
@sarahsalith I think it’s what Melissa said..an alworthia black gem aloe. If I look it up the other plants you see look like mine !
@gillbill good! I never knew how many plants looked like aloe until Greg came along. (:
aaaa such a cute lil guy!! i like to squeeze my aloe/haworthia/gasteria, they usually have a very hard, almost inorganic feel to them. when they need to be watered they’ll be a little softer :)
also their leaves will be a bit flatter, it’s a very subtle difference sometimes but that’s how i tell for mine that are too small to squeeze
