a good way to tell if you need to size up is how long it takes water to drain through the pot and come out the bottom! the faster it comes out, the more space roots are taking in the pot. if it’s coming out quickly, time to size up!

@JGB if the soil’s dry, i’d say immediately coming out or coming out 1-2 seconds later is pretty fast

@JGB yep! most plants don’t have to be sized up very often, so i wouldn’t think a few new leaves would necessarily mean it needs to size up
