Have gnats! UGH! Tried some hydrogen peroxide mixed with ...
2ft to light, direct
12โ pot with drainage
Last watered 1 week ago
@TotalShallot8 You might want to change the soil. A lot of times gnats will lay eggs in it. They are also attracted to wet soil. You could try bottom watering or let the top couple of inches of soil dry out before watering it. ๐
I started putting mosquito dunks (find them at the hardware store) into a gallon of water, continuously refilling the gallon after every use. Until itโs time to put a new dunk in! I use half a dunk ring per gallon. It is bacteria that feed on insect larvae but do not harm people, plants, or animal. At first I had to put out some yellow sticky traps to catch the mature gnats. Now I donโt have to use any yellow traps because thereโs no more gnats!
@princesspitstop seems like adding the rocks helped. May repot soon
@VipTozzia32 thank you. May gey that and keep on hand, rocks may have helped.
@Luvlilu thanks for the post!!! I may just have to switch from what Iโm using.
Gnats are annoying and you will not see a difference for a month because of their live cycles and how many eggs they lay. Iโve found that using the blue lights actually makes the problem worse and sticky traps have never worked. A gnat or 2 flying every once in a while is normal youโll never get rid of them 100% Iโve found adults in bone fry soil. Use mosquito bits or little peroxide to water. A few rocks can help too. Try to space out ur plants so they cant@keep hoping to a new home.
