I can’t tell, what’s his roots look like?
Are you growing it from a pineapple top? How long have you had it in water? It's hard to tell looking at your photo, but have any roots grown yet? The general guideline is to wait until the roots are at least 3-4" before transferring to soil, but you can wait and let them grow longer if you want. Water roots are different than soil roots, so once in soil it will have to start growing new roots. The general consensus is the longer the roots, the better chance it has of successfully transitioning once in soil. But in my experience, as long as they're at least 3-4" long, there's not much benefit to waiting ☺️
My pineapples are out in the yard here in Florida. My renter planted them in 2022 or 2023. We moved in in September 2024. The recent frost may have gotten one of them. But the other seems to be making it.
