Is this a seedling? Well, I guess soon to be seedling, right now it's just a seed lol. Try to keep the soil evenly, consistently moist. Not soggy, but also don't let it dry out completely. Think of how a dish sponge feels right after you wring it outβ€”that's the level of soil moisture you want to aim for. Too wet and it will rot, too dry and it will shrivel up. Also be careful that the grow lights aren't too close once the little seedling breaks through. They're so fragile that if light is too intense for even a very short time, they'll be toast πŸ”₯ As the plant grows and gets bigger, and most importantly develops some roots, the risk of it rotting isn't as high. But continue keeping the soil the same level of moisture while it's in the seedling phase. Once it's bigger you can let the soil dry out quite a bit more.

The sponge reference was exactly what I needed. Thank you
