Is it okay?

#Crassula this my first time growing one of these. I know that some plants are okay to grow tall, it for others it is a sign they need something. I’m wondering about this plant? It was bending to the side, so I propped it up, but I noticed roots coming out of the stem. Is this normal and just it’s way of trying to prop itself or is it a sign I should be doing something?

The roots growing from the upper part of the plant are known as aerial roots and they’re normal considering succulents. And Jades do typically grow upwards, you can propagate it if you like they to be shorter. I use a chopstick to prop up my jades so they grow straighter.
@reese.rae That’s a relief! And I’m so glad you said that, since it was a chopstick I ended up using to prop it up πŸ˜‚
@AffableCocoplum no problem! What are they odds πŸ˜‚
Oh, I have that plant too! Mine's called Crassula β€œMoneymaker,” and it's variegated just like yours! I’ve noticed it loves to grow tall and sends out side branches too. Such a fun little plant, right?
The roots on the sides are normal for the plant. Cutting them off won't harm it.
@vvvelo I’m so glad! Thank you for confirming that it’s normal!
