If they were also mushy and a bit translucent then it would be from overwatering. This just happened to me and I only watered every two weeks so even that was too much. Your succulent also needs more sunlight. I got small grow lights to supplement mine even though they get direct sunlight in front of a south window and now they are thriving. Do you open your blinds at all? Even if you do it needs direct sunlight, not indirect, and a lot of it. I am a newbie so this is my best guess. Good luck!
