Has anyone else tried using pothos water to root a sansev...
I put this cutting into pothos water and I'm surprised that it rooted this quickly. It's maybe been a month and a half and it has little baby roots. I don't know were I'm going to keep it but it would look like a good center peice or something. What I really want this for is for pups to give away to people who want them.
Also would it be a good idea to use hydroponic fertilizer on my other sansevaria (Spike spiegel) for faster growth with pups? It's pups are ok sized I just want to see if any hydroponic stuff would help them out since they're under a grow light (so is felix). Would it even be a good idea at all or would I be risking the health of my rooted cuttings and pups? If anyone has any info on some good but relatively cheap hydroponic fertilizer it would be greatly appreciated.
If you want a current picture of Spike spiegel just ask in the comments. #pothoswater #hydroponics #hydroponic #dracaena #sansevieriasaturday

Personally, I wouldn't change anything. Felix looks great. And your cutting has some nice roots started. I'm a total believer in pothos water because golden pothos releases a water soluble growth hormone which encourage good roots on any cutting you put in pothos water. You should add the hashtag #pothoswaterisliquidgold to your post ππ
@Sassylimey yeah, it's mainly for my other plant but I'm just wanting to try hydroponics to see if I like it and keep up with it but I do agree that I shouldn't do anything yet to Felix just in the future sometime; maybe. But I'm still surprised at how fast those roots grew my other one took like 4 months
That's why I created the hashtag #pothoswaterisliquidgold it's amazing. I've got Chameleon ZZ cuttings rooting in "liquid gold" they've grown rhizomes and roots, ZZ's are notoriously slow to root and mine have been rooting since October 13th
Yes I have! Check out @EagerPhloxβs post https://greg.app/post/1ehlxk/wow-pothoswater-really-is-the-sht-i-dropped-a-piece-of-my-snakeplant-in-a-vase-on-my-window-sill
