What does this plant need?
#Dracaena I ended up getting it from the store I work at because someone left it on a shelf knocked over and I wanted to give it a good home. They came in glass containers filled with water and small rocks. On the app it says that they want porous soil and well draining pots but Iβve seen a lot of pictures of the same containers. I also heard they donβt like much sunlight but the app says they want a lot of light. I donβt know how to take care of it since the info contradicts
4ft to light, indirect
4β pot with drainage

@KnightCatnip Hi Riley π If it's in water and doing well in water I would leave it in water. If you ever have any questions about what a specific plant likes look at the conditions in which it grows in its natural habitat and try your best to mimic that. So for instance Bamboo grows under shaded trees on the forest floor. So it likes indirect dappled light, maybe put it in an East facing window where it gets morning sun. A South or West facing window would be too much for it due to the evening sun being more harsh. However, if that is your only option move it back from the window putting a sheer curtain in between it and the window. Also, to keep the water free from bacteria put a bit of hydrogen peroxide in the water and remember to change it weekly. ππ Depending on your set up you might have to play with it a bit to find out where it's going to be happiest.

@CutePolypremum oh hey Joanie! It does look great! π All of my Dracaena are in soil too except my Lucky Bamboo. It was given to me in water and I was always afraid to move it because it was growing so well. I'm really thinking about chopping the top off of it and propping it because it's really getting too tall and maybe putting that one in soil to see how it does. π
