@SwiftWolfsbane it may well be damage from the infection! Hyphae will feed and destroy their host unseen, often on a near microscopic level internally. Fungi are apex predators in their world, theyβre incredibly good at what they do. It may be prudent to purchase a mild fungicide and apply it as instructed to the soil and damaged foliage. Despite being terrifying, most fungi infections can be treated incredibly easily and with general products. If the situation persists, and this infection proves to be a bit more adaptive and resilient, then maybe explore a more specific or targeted approach
If thereβs a certain fuzziness about things that would normally indicate some or other fungus, as what youβll be seeing and feeling is some visible aspects of the hyphaeπ. However, in these pictures itβs just about not clear enough to tell just by the eyeπ¬. Fungi can be sneaky like that, thoughπ€’
@Lord_Mo36 yes plus I did dig out a little bit of the top portion of the soil prior to taking the picture. Any idea about the grayness in the middle?
@Lord_Mo36 I have copper fungicide and treated it this morning with that. Hopefully that will help. I also have some neem oil, but I donβt think itβs a pest issue. Thank you so much for your answers. They were most helpful.
@SwiftWolfsbane happy to help! Hoping all goes well!
