Repotted my primrose now seeing black gnats flying about ...

Fungus gnats are not typically super harmful to plants, but it can mean that your soil is too wet. I would try drying more between watering and diatomaceous earth in a thin layer on top to kill any both currently living and any hatching from the soil οΏΌ
No it’ll be okay. My best advice is to stop watering until the top 3 inches of the soil is bone dry. Use yellow sticky traps to catch adult gnats. Afterward, try bottom watering! Fungus gnats lay their eggs in the top layer of your soil but when this area doesn’t get wet/moist the eggs can’t survive. With these methods you can eradicate the gnats and keep them gone.
