If you’re concerned about bugs that will hurt the vine itself, you can always mix dish soap and water into an attachable spray bottle for a hose. That always does the trick for me, especially when it comes to aphids. I’m sure it would deter spiders as well, but normally, I’ve never had an issue with spiders hurting my plants. If anything, I encourage them because they are a natural deterrent to pests. Either way, it doesn’t hurt to try just half dawn dish soap, and half water.
