My olive plant is so thin!

What am I doing wrong? My Olive Plant is so thin! They’re not brown, but the leaves are so sparse and like green sticks. It’s sitting in a prime spot by the window facing south so he gets the afternoon sun. It’s like one of those thin scrawny boys. I don’t want to give up on him as I’ve nursed many other dying plants before. I don’t overwater but it’s gone dry several times. Advice?

Did some googling around. 🫒Olive trees like lots of drainage holes, with a layer of lava rock, styrofoam, gravel, crushed cans, or anything loose on the bottom to ensure the holes don't get blocked. 🫒 Allow soil to dry somewhat between waterings, then water until soil is soaked. Watering thoroughly if the soil doesn't feel moist to the touch 🫒They need fertilizer twice a year. 🫒Pruning is important. Pinch off growing tips to promote bushiness.
When did you last fertilize it? Is it outgrowing it's pot? Pruning it (branches&roots) is important to stop it from outgrowing it's pot
Sorry for late response. Life has a way of distracting me from my plants. I follow Greg’s water schedule so I don’t know what else to do. And it definitely has not outgrown its pot, there’s still a lot of room. I’m wondering if I should water less? @AmberMallow
Olive trees can last maybe 10 years in a pot? They'd rather be outside. So if it's old, that might be it also
