My Kalanchoe got sick.

About a month or so ago i noticed small leaves towards the bottom of the stem would yellow and easily peel off but thought nothing of it. Then this prior week I noticed under the leaves there were these speckles. I sprayed neem oil on it but I dont see any critters or webs. I don’t know if this is edema where the cells burst from too much water.

It normally sits right on my windowsill southwest facing and I’d give it water every 1-1.5 weeks. Its in a terracotta pot with succulent soil. I moved it outside in case it was spidermites and to dry up a bit. Any help is appreciated, this plant means the most out of all my other plants as my bf got me it as a gift in November.

@Pugpansies this Kalanchoe’s throwing more red flags than a walking first date who says I’m not like other guys….. Those speckles? Classic case of edema or moisture drama like her roots just cried too much and burst a few internal seams. If she were a person, she’d be the friend who insists she’s totally fine while silently sobbing over a wilted taco Let’s break it down Alina…Speckles & leaf drop = possible overwatering OR high humidity sneak attack Watering 1–1.5 weeks sounds okay if the soil is drying out. But if it’s staying damp too long, her roots are basically living in soggy socks no one thrives like that. SW windowsill + terracotta = great combo, but indoors may not dry out fast enough if airflow’s meh. Neem oil but no pests = Good call, but the leaf vibe says edema, not bugs. So less spa day, more diet change. Quick glow-up plan…Let soil dry out completely between watering….If pot’s deep or soil dense, maybe swap to a chunkier succulent mix..Try a fan nearby if indoors airflow = root mood boost. Outside spot is as long as no harsh afternoon sun (she’ll sunburn faster than a goth kid at Coachella).Optional: bottom leaves that yellow and fall? Let them go. She’s Marie Kondo-ing herself. She still looks strong and full of potential and honestly? That stem’s thick and thriving. She’s not down, just dramatically rebooting
@JungleDreamer you cheered me up lol! I was about to break down over this. I think the sun was a bit too strong for her as she started wilting a bit. I think airflow is probably the culprit. I’ll chop off her dead ends and sit her in front of a fan until it gets cooler. Thanks so much friend!! 💚💚💚
@Pugpansies she’s lucky to have you…she’ll bounce back sassier than ever.
