hey everyone!! this is my first time propagating a plant ...

#Monstera
3ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 years ago
When you have roots that are 3 in or longer is ideally best. If you want to wait till there's branching on the thinker roots then you can almost guarantee success
I always go by what @BuoyantSandleek just said above. I always wait until roots are 3in or more that way they are longer, stronger, and in case I accidentally over water theres more roots to work with lol
Yes I agree with both @BuoyantSandleek and @KrunchyWrapz sometimes I'll put liquid fertilizer in it though to help
Welcome to the Greg community Ella. I agree with @BuoyantSandleek the general rule is 3 roots that are 3" long. If you have golden pothos is suggest placing a cutting in with your Monstera cutting. Pothos produces a water soluble liquid growth hormone that will encourage your plant to grow more and stronger roots. Make sure to have your cutting in distilled water. Patience is key when propagating πŸ˜‰ #pothoswaterisliquidgold #sciencewithgreg
