@FreshFalsedaisy yes those theories are both true, if you want to save the bulb for the next year you might need to wait for the leaves to get floppy to cut them off. then you can put the plant in a dark spot in a paper bag to help growth in the future! but to be safe you can just deadhead the flowers and leave it to grow

@PlantMamaItaly I also would like to know the answer! My blooms only lasted about 2 weekss and Iβm sure itβs because they were indoors :/
