Burned yellowing Leaves

I've never had a Hosta before. Bought it at Costco where they had it outside.
I bought it for my front porch but after a couple days I could tell the leaves were burning in this after 3pm Texas sun so l brought her in. For the first time I truly can't figure out a plant. I tried to prune and clip then water but I just don't know how she needs to be loved.

You're doing a great job trying to care for your hosta, and it's clear you really want to help it thrive! Hostas are shade-loving plants, so the intense Texas sun likely caused the leaf burn. To help it recover, trim off the burnt or damaged leaves to redirect the plant’s energy to healthy growth. Keep it in a spot with bright, indirect lightβ€”either indoors or outside in morning sun with afternoon shade. Make sure the soil stays consistently moist but not soggy; watering when the top inch of soil feels dry is a good rule. With a little time and care, your hosta can bounce back and reward you with fresh, healthy leaves. You're on the right trackβ€”plants teach us as we go. Hope that helps!
Hostas require different care. Some are full shade some are part sun. That's most likely a part shade early morning sun type but they're leaves will still burn easily if on concrete or a patio . If it's placed on grass it helps it stay looking better.
Peersonalky I'd put it in ground or it will need overwintered in dormancy
