Is this an Orchid Root Rot

It was thriving outside for some time, but because of the constant raining, it got overly watered. I assumed, because it was outside that it wasn't going to be that bad.
Eventually, it had small spiders that I eventually was able to remove.
The leaves had already turned yellow and some even dried or turned brown.
What do you guys think is happening?🀠
These were a gift. I am going to get Orchid mix and separate a small plant to make it a water plant. I have kept seeing people recommend that instead. Thoughts?

If the plant has root rot the roots will often be dark brown or black, squishy, and have an odor. Be sure to give it a sniff! πŸ‘ƒ As for those little spiders.. you likely had spider mites which eat off the plant and make them appear sickly, be sure they’re truly gone! The eggs can be in the soil for around a month after they’re gone πŸ˜₯ the orchid seems a fantastic idea as well! Just make sure to keep this plant away from other plants if there is still a risk of those spider mites.
