Golden Pothos - Brown Tip?

#GoldenPothos #PothosPack

Hi everyone,

Still new to plants, i have a golden pothos, with one leaf that is turning brown at the tip, and yellowing underneath. Since I’m new I keep an eagle eye on all plants. It’s growing new leaves, and only one other has a slightly browned leaf. In terms of moisture, moist at bottom, drier at top 1-2 inches. Does it need more water or leave it to dry a bit more. I love this plants as im training to trail - so hoping its not a bigger issue. Any help would be great.
Thank you #NewPlantDad

@PlantDaddio Hi Gareth, welcome to the club! I like your Greg name, very good.
Brown tips could be a result of irregular or underwatering/overwatering. Just as a matter of interest, what kind of water do you use, straight from the tap?
If the tip is dry, it is caused by low humid and heat. If the tip is mushy, then it is over water.
My pothos like to be watered when the top 2” are dry. We are entering the active growth season so they will start using more water now. Like Natalie said, dry and crisp can indicate not enough moisture.
Sometimes if you use tap water is can give your plant brown tips from the build-up of the minerals. If you are using tap water, fill up a jug and leave it out for a few hours or overnight before watering your plant.
@Seymour Hi Seymour! Thank you. Its rainwater from outside water-but. I think it was quite dry and could be the reason. Thank you for replying
