@Magnofigogirl @MamaLinne Hi Jordan! You’ve got a Peperomia serpens or scandens (You might see either name. They both mean the same thing, and it’s the same plant, with a creeping or trailing growth habit).
Correct me if I’m wrong but it looks like you’ve got an all variegated vine, as in, it has none of the darker green areas, but only the creamy white color? There are a couple reasons for this.
1- and hopefully it’s this one: your plant is in super high light and they figured they don’t need to produce much chlorophyll since they have such an abundance of light. ☀️ If you think it’s this, you can slightly lower the light levels and see what happens.
Or, 2- it’s a random mutation. 😬 This might mean the stem is very weak, and it’s certainly not producing ANY chlorophyll to help out the entire plant. The ghost 👻 stem might eventually turn brown and die early. If you think it might be this, you can prune the stem off. Follow the vine back down until you find a good node with a healthy green and white balance. ✂️ Hopefully the dormant bud there will start producing new growth with a good amount of chlorophyll. Don’t try to propagate the ghost stem because it won’t be able to survive independently, but you can put it in a vase to enjoy looking at it while it lasts.

@DreamMachine Hi Nadia! Interesting, thanks for the info. Yeah it’s only this one vine on the plant that’s lacking color. Except for this small splash of dark green here. Do you think it needs a bigger pot or ok?
@Magnofigogirl pretty much the only time I repot is when I get irritated that someone needs water much more frequently than they used to. (The other time is when they are brand new and I’m switching them to my preferred mix)
A lot of people seem to go for repotting as a way to solve issues, but it won’t solve any issues except for if they’re drying out much faster than usual. I would not think yours would need a repot unless that’s the case?

@Magnofigogirl didn’t see the full plant pic yet! They are beautiful! Look really healthy and nice. It might just be a random ghost vine 🤷♀️
@DreamMachine mutations cool. There’s some slight browning on some of the leaves but yes the other vines seem to be fine with chlorophyll 🙃
@Magnofigogirl I would just keep an eye on it. If you start to see more browning on the ghost vine, I would snip it off, as they probably won’t last forever. But enjoy it for now!
