She just looks like she’s suffered some trauma. πŸ˜” But with TLC, she’ll do great! So, basics: if she just came to her new home today, then give her some time to adapt before replanting. Then you can use a succulent mix, your own mix, or pon. So many options. Just make sure she’s in a well-draining pot and don’t let her sit in water. Succulents can be hilarious little liars sometimes about water. I know Joy on another post made a great observation of the key to success in succulents is less water instead of more. πŸ˜‰ - I’m sorry I don’t remember her @ or I’d tell you! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ BUT well-draining soil: I add sand and personally do a mix of a little pon, sand, orchid bark mix, and then a mix of soil, but that’s kinda my β€œgo-to” mix. 🀭 I wish you luck! Keep us posted! ☺️
I would give it light from a window
Or not to much outside
Thank you so much everyone. I will definitely check out those resources and ive got her in front of a window. Shes already starting to look happier. The only plant ive ever been able to keep alive was a succulent/cactus idk which it is and im pretty sure that's because I kept forgetting it existed until Id wash dishes--it was on the shelf behind the sink--id flick some water on it and then forget it again. Its still alive. Philonius on my profile a false Christmas cactus.
The whole gang together. Including the immortal Philonius.
I will give it a bit before repotting im looking into terracotta for evaporation and drainage.
@luxatomica your gang looks great! Aloes are not easy to care for, so you definitely are doing something right. I’m betting your plant is going to love her new home and family! In a month or so she’ll be massive and beautiful! When they flower it’s one of the most beautiful things. - I think that is. 😊 best of luck, and keep us all updated!
@slayonium She shouldn’t have to read on Reddit if you scroll down on a plant you will find a whole community specifically for her exact plant. I also think @Idplantthat pretty much coved her in the right direction.
