Hi, my ficus leaves suddenly turned yellow and a few have dropped. It used to sit by the window with direct sunlight, but cold nights may have affected it. I’ve moved it, but I’m still concerned. Should I take it out and check the roots?

Hi I have 3 ficus 30 yrs old in pots .every now and then they chuck a sook and yellow and drop their leaves  
A good haircut and fertilise and they spring back to life
