Does your pot have drainage holes. Cacti require small amounts of water. Even though Greg may say it’s time to water I always test the soil to be sure it’s indeed dry. Also, I’m in New England so this time of year sunlight is hard to come by. I move my cacti east, south, west so they can soak in as many rays as available. They all seem to be thriving.
Definitely agree with Donna. I always use a chopstick deep in the soil to be sure it’s dry. A cactus needs very little water. They can go bone dry for a while. You want to error on the side of underwater. οΏΌ
Most Cacti like direct sunlight and heat when possible. They are drought tolerant and prefer to go without water for a long time. It has a fake flower glued to it but it will grow it out by itself or you could attempt to take it off
