Leggy…

#Begonia I picked up a serratipetala and it is already pretty leggy. I want to repot it and let it adapt to the house before I start chopping it. Is there any chance the bare stems below the foliage will sprout new leaves or is it just doomed to be leggy until I chop and prop it?
3ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 6 months ago
There is a chance! My boyfriend’s mother let hers begonia (different kind) FREZZE outside and when she brought it to me all of the stems were breaking off as soon as I touched them to trim them. It was down to 4 tiny stems with no leaves. She watered it and put it on a sunny windowsill and a week or two later it had two new leaves… I would try just one stem first and see what happens if it branches out or not. Good luck!
That’s what I would do to what Terrence saidοΏΌ begonias are so temperamental specially when you have a few of them that you need to take care of pretty much all mine are gone. I either overwatered them or underwater them and I was so mad. I have one left and right now. I’m just making sure they’re kept moist so the leaves don’t dry out.
