They are beautiful! I think youβre doing a great job π©βπΎ I donβt have either of those type of ferns, but the ones I do have seem happy. I was just thinking this morning itβs time to put my small one in a bigger pot so it can have more room. Iβm thinking your one thatβs looking crowded may be wanting the same thing π I mist mine often because itβs so dry in CO. Otherwise, I find ferns super easy to care for. Enjoy!
Ferns have delicate roots so be gentle repotting. Young ferns can be up potted (bigger pot) every year. Then when itβs about the size you want slow down and repot (same pot) with fresh soil. They donβt mind being a bit snug in a pot and it will slow down how big they can get. Youβll just need to water more often because the pot wonβt hold as much moisture. I donβt mist mine but itβs also pretty humid in coastal San Diego. For the birds nest ferns take care not to get water in the crown. Crown rot is a thing π³. Oh and when you up pot or repot make sure the crown is set level with the soil. You donβt want it lower.
