Do I buy it…?

There are baby pitcher plants at my work place, they’re going fast…. I’ve never had a carnivorous plant before but I know what types of water they can handle, no soil with nutrients, and sun. But I’m so scared I’ll kill it!! What to do? #PitcherPlant #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

Go for it! I knew just as much as you do when I got an assortment of carnivorous plants few years ago. I did better with some than others - I was told pingulas are easy but for me I couldn't keep them alive (I might still try them again in the future). You won't know unless you try and that's part of the fun with houseplants 😊 Are they North American (sarracenia) or tropical (nepenthes)? I have a tropical pitcher and I'm eyeing up a NA one at a local plant shop that just got some in.
I would read up as much as I could and get one! In fact I’m looking into my first CP right now 🤗 There are a couple of good podcast episodes about CP on Growing Joy with Maria.
They are nepenthes but they’re are sarracenias that are more expensive. I ended up getting the nepenthes last night!! ☺️🤭
Congrats! New plants are always such a mood booster. ✨️🪴💚
