Why are my Dracaena leaves turning black?

I just got this Dracaena last week. It was really root bound so I repotted it and now I noticed the leaves are turning black. What did I do wrong? Thank you!

@bluebladeliger ah, gotcha. Just making sure scale isn’t an issue. Anyway, it’s possible they’ve got some rot from overwatering. I’d check the roots and soil to see how wet it is. Black dracaena leaves are typically from way too much water. They can handle a fair amount of moisture, but everything has a limit.
Before I address the darkening leaves, I have a question. I see a LOOTTTT of spots on the leaves. Are those able to be wiped off? Like water/fertilizer spots?
@PlantLadyChar Yes, they are. We have really hard water here, so I thought they might even be calcium deposits.
@PlantLadyChar Thank you! Yeah, I don’t see any insects or pests. I watered it pretty heavily when I repotted it, so I probably overwatered it. Will the root rot get worse if I don’t remove the rotted roots?
@bluebladeliger yes, snip those asap and repot in a good soil. Give it a tiny bit of water just to get it settled in the new soil and wait a few days before watering again.
@PlantLadyChar Okay, I will do that tomorrow! Thank you so much!
@bluebladeliger you’re welcome!! Hope it all works out!
@mal9 ooh, you know, I didn’t even think of it possibly being sick! Good thinking. I definitely hope it isn’t. 😬
