Why does this flower do this?
Over the past week, my cactus had a beautiful bloom come up, but I’ve noticed something. It only stays open during the night into the early morning, and closes once it’s bright out, by the next morning, it’ll be open again. Does this specific cactus do that? It’s supposedly a Simpson hedgehog cactus. I’m just curious, thank you!

Maybe if you put the picture in the identifier it will tell you what kind of cactus it is. It may not be what you think it is. I had a cactus at one time that only bloomed at night and can’t remember the name of it. There are several that only bloom at night. Yours is beautiful! I love the yellow flower!
