Welcome Lindsay! Greg has an amazing community of folks who are happy to help, so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! 😊

Since you're a new plant parent, I'll throw out a few pieces of advice I wish someone had given me when I was first starting out. The biggest one has to do with overwatering, which is the most common way people end up killing their plants. When in doubt, it's always better to underwater than overwater! An underwatered plant is an easy fix, but an overwatered plant? Not so much. Always check the soil before watering to ensure it's sufficiently dried out. Use Greg's watering reminders as suggestions more than anything. The app learns the more you use it, so if you get a reminder to water but the soil still feels damp, click the "snooze" button and it will remind you again in a few days. You can check soil moisture with either a moisture meter (a worthwhile investment!), a wooden chopstick, or just your finger.
Thank you Steph!! I think I will invest in a moisture meter, I didn't even know that was a thing!
@Mephobia89 no problem! By the way, you have to tag people in comments or they won't see them 😉 Moisture meters are great for checking moisture at the bottom of the pot. They're not always 100% precise, but still a very useful tool to have on hand. You can get one for cheap on Amazon, like $5-6
