That depends what the climate is like where you live. They can't handle as much direct sun as other cacti, so it also depends if the outdoor area where you planned to keep it is exposed to full sun or if it has some shade. If putting it outside will mean an increase in sunlight, make sure you expose it gradually so it doesn't burn. Try an hour or two the first week, then bump it up by an hour every week or every other week until it's acclimated.

Iβm in Northern Indiana, zone 6b. We are starting the time of year where itβs going to be in the 80s and 90s during the day, no lower than mid to high 60s at night. The humidity is also absurd. The dew point wonβt be below 60% now until October. I have a variety of places I could put it. 1. Part sun/dappled shade, afternoon sun 2. Dappled shade, morning sun 3. Full sun, afternoon sun
