Peter Parker grew babies!! What should I do?

#VenusFlyTrap
Nothing, just continue caring for the plant as normal so they'll keep growing and turn into traps 😊
By the way, your soil looks awfully wet. Do you bottom water using distilled?
@stephongreg yes. Only distilled and I've been filling up the "fish" pot every few days. I just read on previous posts not to leave it in water. It's been working out for PP, but I'll scale back.
@TactfulGinger28 if any excess water is still in the pot after about 30 minutes, dump it out. That's a fairly big pot to be filling all the way with water. Ideally the pot sits in a dish or saucer than comes up only an inch or two on the sides, then you fill that with water.
Find a second carnivorous plant to add along side Peter Parker!
@stephongreg venus flytraps are bog plants, and they grow in bogs, so they are always sitting in water at all times. you should plant them in sphagnum moss and make sure the pot is sitting in water at all times.
@PoaRunner13 what's your favorite one?
@TactfulGinger28 my wife has a Pitcher plant. We love it!
@pricklydude I didn't tell them it shouldn't be sitting in water at all times. I said because they have it sitting in such a large cache pot, they should dump out any EXCESS water that's still in the pot after 30 minutes because by that point the water level wouldn't be reaching the plastic pot anyway. The amount of water is an important detailβ€”no more than one to two inches. Because although they're bog plants, they can also rot if flooded. That's why I recommended a different set up (a dish or saucer) than the current pot.
@pricklydude That’s what I do and it loves sitting in distilled or rain water to draw as needed .
