I planted 2 blueberry plants together for pollinating and...
12β pot with drainage
Last watered 1 week ago
My first question is very important to the health of these plants.
How acidic is the soil you have it in?
Blueberries require acidic soil to grow and obtain nutrients from the soil properly. Yellow leaves are common for them when they are missing iron or other nutrients because of the pH being too high.
And then there are my second and third questions.
Have you been letting it dry out between waterings? (Because you should be. They need time to breathe through their roots or they will suffocate)
How chunky is your soil? (Chunky soil with perlite or other chunky soil additions allows water and air to flow through the soil more easily, which is what you want)
Fourth question:
Are they getting the amount and type of sunlight that they need? Not too little or too much?

Check your soil PH. Blueberries demand acidic soil around 4.5 to 5.5. if you have them in normal potting soil, they can't extract the nutrients needed for healthy growth. Use a peat mixture with perlite to drain well. Wet the mixture of peat as it will soak up copious amounts of water. I'd do a 50/50 mix. Wait about 4 weeks after transplant or "soil Amendment", then fertilize with a good organic fertilizer like Dr Earths organic fruit tree fertilizer. I'd put a layer of pine bark mulch around the top of the soil to continue leaching natural acids into your soil to maintain the desired pH.
If you have the time and material an awesome mix I use is about a 40/40/20 peat/pine bark/ perlite. Blueberries love it!

@ExecAudreyficus the soil is mixed with sulfur pellets help with the acidity and water flow. But I probably could give it more time to dry out completely. Itβs my largest pot. They get a little more than 6 hours of Sun per day. One is definitely thriving I was just worried about the other plant in the same planter.
