At this point she just needs to dry out an Hopefully she can recover. DO NOT water under any circumstances until u see her recovering. She looks badly waterlogged. It may take a while for her to recover and hopefully her roots won't rot while she.recovers. Be patient. She may surprise ๐ฎ you. They do all have a will to survive and Live. Good Luck ๐
I originally received my one dieffenbachia in the exact same condition as you above pic.....PLEASE please please trust me when I tell you this.....Even though it isnt looking its best right now, just leave it be &give it time.how much?well it could be awhile but maybe not just keep it in a bright indirect lit area where there isnt a draft from air conditioning or too much temp change.(like where you normally would) right now I would hold off on watering like @DaringColtsfoot said......maybe take a pic each week so you can really tell .I wanna show you my before &afters......remember dieffenbachia are SOOOO"OVER"DRAMATIC SOMETIMES.... im going to show you my pics in another post
@jellyjellz You may want to check the roots on the second picture you posted. YOU COULD have root rot . That would be mushy ,black or translucent they would need to be removed. To dry the soil out take the plant out of the pot and wrap them in paper towels. I hate to tell people that cuz itโs a pain but works . I let mine dry out completely before watering again. Good luck
Yes @ILoveMyPlants ,thank you for the info/advice.I definitely appreciate it whenever anyone gives me any kind of extra info about gardening.Tysm๐That pic is from when I 1st was given my plant.I actually did remove it &also had done the paper towels thing too. I honestly thought this plant was not going to make it at all....But now its been 3 yrs & instead of 1,I now have 3.๐ฑ๐ชด
