This is the absolute glory of the Rattlesnake plant!!!!!!

It moves slowly throughout the day. Just before evening comes, he moves his leaves πŸƒ to stand straight up!

In the morning πŸŒ„, those leaves slowly move back to "regular"...their daytime position!

This is an amazing feat, in my opinion...
Thank u for that but, my plant doesn't go back to daytime. It always stands straight up.
@CasualVetiver it looks great in the picture! Maybe if you moved it slightly closer to a window or some natural light you might see more movement between day and night. Also, if it’s brand new, it might still be adjusting to its environment and could take a couple days to start moving with the daylight.

Yes...what @nellz4estfairyz
recommended might do the trick.

My Rattlesnake plant has always been directly under a gro light. It's on for 12 hours daily in late spring and summer.

He also is fairly close to a good humidifier and that also helps πŸ˜€ πŸ˜‰ πŸ‘
Hi @CasualVetiver
It is true a content calathea will move their leaves during the day. But there are many factors that might influence the rythm.

In my experience they might hold their leaves in "closed" position (standing up) and not opening up to prevent evaporation (the soil is too dry or the air is too dry), to protect itself from too much light, preserve energy in too little light, or it might be reacting to some kind of infection. It is not usual that they use a couple of days to weeks when you first get your Calathea before they start moving their leaves, as they need some time to acclimate. Same if you have recently repotted.
