From tucson Arizona? Maybe it still needs time to acclimate. It’s much hotter in Tucson vs Chicago right?
@Frcklfce77 yes definitely hotter and drier in Arizona, much more humid here in Chicago
Well good luck. I don’t know what i’m doing with my plants. Which is why i downloaded this plant care app. And i try to keep mostly succulents and cacti because i tend to kill everything else. But maybe try a grow light ?

Hi Brooklyn.
I would consider cutting the watering in half due to the higher humidity here in the eastern states. I have one and don't water it but every 4 weeks and it's doing great.
I live in Georgia so I probably have much higher humidity here so I don't know if you'd want to wait that long. If it was me, I would simply do a soil check once a week by sticking my finger in the soil about 3 inches in depth, if any moisture at all, I would hold off. Just let it completely dry between watering and it should perk up nicely.
And yes, your soil mix should definitely be well draining.
