#Codiaeum Every year, when the temperature gets consistently warm enough with no frost days (usually around Mother's Day in the Mid-Atlantic) I take my petra and put it outside for the summer to get more sun and rain, but this year, just five days in, she started graying and going dull, and today the leaves are falling off significantly

Hi Stephen!
It seems you've had your Petra from season to season.
Do you do the same routine each Mother's Day with her?
I'm thinking that the falling leaves may be due to being moved and chilly nights.
My Petra absolutely loves lots of light and puts out beautiful colors โจ๏ธ ๐ โค๏ธ when the light is strong...directly under a grow light or about 5 hours of sunshine ๐ daily.
I had to move mine to a more indirect light because of lack of space. She's not producing those wonderful, colorful speckles because of that.
As I live in an apartment that literally has no windows, all of my plants are under gro lights year-round.
Here's a photo that I just took.
The bottom colorful leaves were produced when she had much more light.
Hoping this helps...
