Brown Tips ๐Ÿ˜”

#SpiderPlant tips are getting a little brown....any tips?
Last watered 4 days ago
@PetHawthorn94 please let me know when you find out.
So far Iโ€™ve let it dry completely b4 watering and Iโ€™m adding fertilizer. Iโ€™m putting it in the sun as much as possible. Hope we find out soon .
Is there any additional yellowing or curling along the leaf blades? I can't zoom in to tell but it doesn't look like it. How long has the plant been in the current soil?
If the plant is healthy and growing new leaves the most common cause of brown tips is dry air.
You can try increasing humidity indoors, the whole idea of a pebble tray with water doesnโ€™t work all that well frankly. For my spider plant I usually just trim the brown ends off every so often - a little hair cut to make it look better.
Usually that means too low humidity or something in the water it doesn't like. You can try reverse osmosis or distilled water. I usually just let my water sit overnight or use a water conditioner on it (like the stuff you use on fish tanks for their water.)
Too much sunlight or not enough water, unless the tips are kind of mushy, then it's too much water
It can also be from too much fertilizer or... Too many chemicals in your water. They do best with distilled water or water that has set out for 24 hours so the chemicals has disapated. Spider plants need their soil flushed at least every 6 months. Hope this helps too!! #SpiderPlants #browntips ๐Ÿž๐Ÿฆ‹๐ŸŒต๐Ÿœ๐Ÿชด๐ŸŒป
Mine responded well to the change in water. Either distilled or rain water
