@DapperPlanty this could be a possibility, Ming aralia leaves could turn yellow if they receive too much water. These plants do not like standing water or excess moisture as it provides a favorable place for bacterial and fungal growth. Since the roots are soaked with the excess moisture in the soil, they won't be able to absorb oxygen and nutrients. Since your pot doesn’t have drainage that could be what is happening.
I went out and planted it with a pot with drainage and did not water it at this time…relicate it in another area with some light …no direct light. I usually have no problem.. I had one in my office before I retired…did beautiful. The one I purchased a year ago died so I thought I would try again. I grow planeria trees…Arizona roses…etc …I love plants
My Ming was the same way so I planted him in a new pot with new soil, moved him out of direct sunlight but still in a warm bright spot and I keep a mister on hand right next to him. I also talk to him every day and tell him how great he’s doing while I also go through his leaves and take out any dry, dead ones. He’s now a very happy camper!
