I want to transplant into this

#GoldenBarrelCactus
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 3 weeks ago
It’s very cute, but glazed clay can be rough for cacti. It doesn’t allow the water to evaporate quickly enough and can cause root rot. If you do use it, use a very gritty soil mix for cacti, water very rarely when completely dry, and keep in a sunny spot.
I 100% agree with @MamaLinne !!
To piggy back off @MamaLinne , you can use some bonsai jack succulent mix. I like to order a bag and mix some soil into it so it holds a little moisture. The mix is soilless so that’s why I add some organic matter to it. If I mix the bonsai jack mix it’s like 70% bonsai jack and 30% miracle grow succulent mix
@HoyaUniqua I’ve heard great things about bonsai jack, but haven’t tried it yet!
@MamaLinne it really doesn’t hold water. Well, on a molecular level I’m sure it does inside the pores of the minerals in the mix. So that’s why I like to add a little bit of whatever soil. But it’s super helpful because you know how lots of people have a hard time with rotting cacti and succulents.
