Oregano Black Leaves

I was gifted an oregano plant that was struggling with gnats and has miraculously come back, im even seeing a bud come inside I’m now seeing black spots on the leaves here and there, and whole leaves turning black-I trim most of them off but you can see a few in the picture. Am I overwatering? #Oregano #help
I’ve never grown oregano, but typically I think yellow leaves means overwatering, and brown means underwatering. But black.. I dunno, maybe rot (which would be overwatering)?

Are the leaves turning black or more of a brown color? And is the discoloration starting at the tips of the leaves, or the whole leaf first? Is it dry, or mushy?
@tunnybiger so many great questions, thank you! The leaves feel on the crispy side, and the color starts on the edges, with some new growth sprouting black. I would think it’s dry but the soil is still moist when I check it. Maybe the pot is too big for the remaining plant, it was much bigger when I first got it
@Eb_franco I’m thinking overwatered then. Also, if it’s leggy and stretching it needs more sunlight.

I’d say try repoting it with dry soil and let it sit for a few days without watering so it can recover hopefully. Then try to stick with this watering schedule:
Only water once the soil is completely dry, then water deeply

Hope this helps!
@tunnybiger it does, thank you so much!!! 🀞🏼🀞🏼
