#MoneyTree I just got this plant and couldn't unpack it through online delivery my husband ordered it while I was on like seven shifts in a row it now has mold growing out the top what do I do?!
Last watered 1 month ago
I would try Insecticidal soap!
@SteamyBlackwood Pick it out it’s harmless and could stay there. Can I also say if you want this too flourish your gonna want to put it in a cactus soil for good drainage. Also cut back all those tiny leaves 1/4 inch before the nodes . They come around very quickly . When transplanting you’ll want to check the root ball or actually right above to be sure there are no rubber bands. Once you get it settled in a proper drainage holes and bottom water this should help from overwatering and mold on the top . Another important thing is letting it dry out completely before watering again. Treat it as a succulent it will let you know when it needs water by the tips curling under . I see it gets indirect light just be sure it’s bright but no direct sun or the leaves will burn . I hope I have helped you some once all these factors are intact you’ll be shocked at how fast it grows new leaves . This is mine from a year and a half ago. I took all but two leaves off and now I’m finally happy with it . Good luck . The lump of light green is the node you don’t want to cut off it’s your growing point for the leaves
Sorry couldn’t edit the light green bump in second picture is a node be sure to cut at least a quarter inch above so it can grow more leaves. Also sorry my explanation is so messy not good at explaining.
I can't pick it out as it's growing on top of the stems or trunks as you will like at the ends where they're cut off should I scrape it off should I cut those again?
