When to tell it's time to water my moonstone #succulent ?
I bought her from a nearby nursery 15 days ago. I asked the worker in the nursery how frequently I should water it, they said "water when the soil is dry, usually around every 2 days".
So I brought her home and always waited until the soil was dry and turned whitish to only water her. I don't like to poke the soil. Yesterday evening I saw 2 of her most bottom leaves had turned yellowish (lemon green), I thought I underwatered it, so I searched Google about underwater and overwater signs.
All they said were mushy leaves is overwater while hard leaves is underwater. So I gently pressed the 2 yellowish leaves. The yellowish leaves were plump and hard, as hard as the remaining leaves of the plant, but the remaining leaves of the plant are skinny and not plump at all.
I'm still puzzling about what caused the yellow leaves, was it overwater or underwater? But from Greg watering schedule, it suggested that I should water it every 11 days. Idk if the plant really can be watered every 11 days, because it's a tiny plant, it probably need to water more frequently than the matured plant.
Or should I water the plant only when the leaves are slightly wrinkled? I don't want to kill my plant.

It really depends on your conditions. Most of my succulents are outside as they need bright light to grow. With that said, I water mine differently depending on the weather. When itβs cooler 50/60 degrees, I water mine every 3/4 weeks. When itβs in the 70s I water them every two weeks, and when it gets hotter, I water weekly. The ones that are more low light. I have inside and I water them about once a month or less!
@GlowingIvy it's my first succulent, I will try to remember to wait til it is thirsty.
