What’s up with the leaves?
Is it sun damage? I genuinely have no clue. No sign of pests and I only ever bottom water it. It is right by an eastern facing window and gets a few hours of morning sun.

Yes, definitely looks like sun bleached spots. Even though it only gets morning direct sun, it could be a bit too much for the purple pigment. Move it a few feet back from the window, just far enough so the sun's rays don't hit the leaves. Those bleached spots won't turn purple again, but since it's not negatively affecting the plant it's really just a cosmetic issue. If it bothers you, you can remove those leaves, but they're still able to photosynthesize and provide energy for the plant. It's entirely up to you 😊
