Do you have a transparent drinking glass and Saran Wrap? I would make a makeshift terrarium for them and stick them in there even a clear Tupperware.
Whatever you have, spike moss will stay a very long time like that. Just give it a mist every now and then. Don't let it sit in water though that will kill it.
