Pest ID?

While spraying all my plants to try to head off a spider mite infestation, I found some other problems. One leaf of one of my guavas had what was probably a soft scale, and next to it is this pepper plant.

White spots along the veins. Difficult to remove - need to use my fingernail, often damaging the leaf. These photos are after treating with neem oil last night.

I would spray with castle soap mix, wipe down every leaf (both sides). Spray with Neem oil, cinnamon on the soil. Keep out of bright light and quarantine. In my experience, it's a repeat process every 5-6 days for a couple of weeks. Be vigilant about keeping an eye on anything it's been close to for cross contamination and cinnamon on all soil.
Same here! Spent the weekend repotting plants with a chunkier soil. Wiped down all parts of the plant infected with Neem oil. Made my own concoction with peppermint castile soap. οΏΌ
I’m currently dealing with the same issue 😩. And it’s me insane..!! I sprayed her down with neem oil and Castile peppermint spray concoction. Fingers crossed she gets better
@Wearenewhere good luck! I had a bad fungus gnat problem in spring, and then fought spider mites for the first time all summer. Knock on wood, everything seems to be healthy now.
As for the pest in this post…I’m not convinced it is one! I had a problem with all the new potting soil I made, I must have over-fertilized it. This pepper plant’s problem hasn’t gotten any worse. I suspect that these are little crystals of excess salts being expelled by the leaves. I’ve had some plants do that before, just not with this intensity
