Seems to be dying in a spot, new to plant care and don't ...

I got this cactus last October and wasn't exactly great about watering it at first. I've gotten much better, but I might have over watered it at one point. I don't really know what's wrong with it, but I would love tips on how to fix it. Thank you!

needs bright direct sun!! if your pot doesn’t have drainage holes definitely pot into one as they need excellent drainage to avoid root rot 😊

also if that fake flower is still attached you’ll definitely want to remove it :)
