Tigers Jaw has been soft/wrinkled, I watered yesterday bu...

#tigersjaw I got this plant a few weeks ago and repotted/trimmed the roots (it was not this wrinkly and soft when I bought it but wasn’t in the best shape either). I just watered it for the first time yesterday because of repotting and trimming the roots. Any ideas why it’s still wrinkly? Also does anyone know if I should trim off the dead flowers? I picked one off so far that just died. It looks like another new one is about to start blooming though! Thanks in advance.

If it's soft after watering, it means that it's overwatered. You need to water about once every 1.5 month in Winter.
@SvelteKingfern even though it started getting wrinkly and soft before I watered it but after I bought it? Sorry just trying to understand
Also, softness may mean the plant needs more light.
This is a succulent. It needs 6 to 8 h of bright doppled light, and scarse watering.
Bright partial sun is safer than full direct Sun.
@SvelteKingfern thank you very much! This was helpful!!
Did you read my post on@these succulent mixes ? Once again its probably your issue. Looks like dry rot where those pieces are gone and dead on top
Bet if u pull it out of the pot its dry
Just flip it over pull it put loon at it and put it back in. Super easy to do.
Pull it out look at it *
I did see you said you cleanex the roots. But were they dead ? Abd how much of that crappy soil did you remove ?
Your plant is in succulent soil. Any commercial succulent soil will do. Succulents are not that picky.
My succulents are in a cheap succulent soil from a supermarket. They're growing fine.
You can trim the dead flowers, no problem.
@SvelteKingfern sounds good thanks again!
