What causes dry brown edges?

My prayer plant has always been pretty happy here, its produced flower stems the last three years. But it has also always had crispy edges… what can I do to mitigate that?
1ft to light, direct
6” pot with drainage
Last watered 3 months ago

Emily, this can be due to several factors. If your plant is under watered, if the plant does not have enough humidity (prayer plants love to be misted with a spray bottle), temperature fluctuations, or certain chemical fertilizers can cause the plants roots to β€œburn” thus creating brown crisp leaves.
@theloveofplants hmmmm. I never mist it- I will start adding that into my routine. Thanks πŸ’¦πŸ”«
@Etjax | yes, prayer plants like a LOT of humidity. πŸ€—Giving them a little spritz can really help! Just keep in mind, if the plant is near and air vent or a heater, that can cause the air to be dryer.
